Ronnie Mauge adds to the collection

Two match worn items worn by Argyle legend and current Club Ambassador, Ronnie Mauge, have been donated to the Archive.

At a presentation in Club Argyle just before the recent Leicester game, the Archive’s Bob Wright received a framed signed shirt, and the shorts worn by Ronnie in the promotion play-off at Wembley in 1996.

The match-worn shorts were donated directly to the Archive by Ronnie and add to his shirt from that Wembley victory, which is already in the Archive collection.

The shirt was a gift to the Archive from Denise O’Leary, the widow of Des, a stalwart of grassroots football in Plymouth and the wider Devon area, and Life President of the Devon Junior and Minor League, who died in 2020. It was presented by Celia Ellacott, a family friend and Archive volunteer.
