Key Argyle Archive supporters and Principal Sponsors PASOTI have made another major donation to the Argyle Archive.
PASOTI have purchased the treasured 1929-30 Third Division South Winner’s Medal won by Argyle Captain Fred Titmuss that season.
Fred Titmuss joined Argyle from Southampton for £1750 and led the club to their first ever promotion in that 1929-30 season. Titmuss, who won two England caps during his time with Southampton, played 177 matches for Argyle. After promotion, he captained Argyle to their highest ever league position of fourth in division two in his final season before retirement.
PAHA are thrilled to add such a wonderful item belonging to such a significant figure in Argyle’s history, and to add the medal to those of Raymond Bowden and Jack Pullen from the same landmark season to the Archive Collection.
