A new book “Argyle’s Golden Era” written by long standing Argyle Archive supporter and Argyle Season Ticket holder Mike Rundle it covers the winning of the Third Division (South) championship in 1951/2 and Argyle’s joint highest ever finish (4th) in the Second Division in 1952/3.
It contains match by match coverage of both seasons and is lavishly illustrated with photographs, programme covers, trade cards and autographs. A Kindle version is already available from the Amazon web-site and print versions will shortly be on sale by Amazon and Waterstones.
Mike will be donating the proceeds of sales to the Plymouth Argyle Heritage Archive to support our work. We are thrilled to see an excellent book published on one of Argyle’s most successful periods and we are most grateful to Mike for this wonderfully generous donation.
