One of the early decisions of the “New World” board after arriving in 2009 was to enter into a new kit contract with Adidas after may years with Puma. This was popular with many fans, and saw a change in kit colour to a slightly brighter pine needle green. The new badge was less popular though and was swiftly replaced once Argyle returned to Puma as their kit supplier. The deal only lasted 2 years as the club hit financial problems leading to administration and ultimately the take over of Argyle by James Brent.
This shirt was worn by Jamie Mackie a fan favourite, who moved to QPR after Argyle suffered relegation at the end of that season.
