The Argyle Archive’s Launch Exhibition

The evening of Friday 26 May 2017 saw the formal launch of the Plymouth Argyle Heritage Archive and a preview of its first exhibition. Special guest Graham Little, now 90 years old, was in sparkling form as he recounted tales of over 20 years as Argyle’s secretary in front of around 60 invited guests. The exhibition was open to all over the following two days, with around 400 visitors enjoying their strolls down Memory Lane.

The weekend was a great success, with positive and encouraging feedback from all who came. Here are some photos of the event (click on the first for the full gallery).

    Hi Russell

We use to sit together in the Mayflower lower before you deserted for the main stand. I’m not sure if you are the right one to ask but my friend who I have only recently got in touch with again used to be Argyle’s mascot in the sixties, he says he might have been the first & was in the position for the whole season.
He can recall going to Johnny Newman’s wedding. He would love to hear of any evidence of this in a program or such & I would be glad if this can be researched through your excellent archives for him.

    Thanks.
