On Thursday 21st November Trustee Bob Wright visited Lipson Co-operative Academy to deliver some more Argyle programmes to Learning Resource Centre Manager Alison Pope. Alison had used an initial delivery of programmes to create a display in the learning centre which had become the subject of much discussion between students and staff. Alison had photocopied the programme covers on to a display board so that the programmes remained available for people to read.
Whilst Bob was there Alison introduced him to teacher Struan Mitchell who revealed that when he started teaching at the school almost 20 years ago he found an Argyle scrapbook in the ceiling void space of his office and it had remained in his office ever since. It appears to have been put together by someone in the late 60s.
Struan kindly donated the scrapbook to the Argyle Archive. As it was put together 50 years ago some of the cuttings have understandably become loose so Archive Chair Russell Moore will set about restoring it.
